Motley March

You know it's getting harder to come up with titles that tie in with the month, but I'm learning alot of new words and their meanings by trying to get a little creative! Just so you know---Motley means composed of a variety of components. I figured that sounded like our March, thus the title :)

For some reason this month seems to have lasted alot longer than it really did, maybe having the "four seasons" for our weather this month helped it to feel that way. Rain, Wind, Sun and Snow all within a couple of weeks! We thought the snow had melted and then woke up to this---

Around 4-6 inches of snow!! It only lasted a little over a week, but I must say March has had a variety of components!!

Andrew took Garrett, Zandra, Danica and I up flying in the helicopter before he heads out to Georgia.

After all of the preliminaries Danica and I were the first to jump in for the ride. I must say it was pretty neat riding in the back seat with Andrew at the controls. It was also pretty awesome seeing Cache Valley below the clouds and above the towers. We all landed safe and no one got sick! Way to go Andrew on the smooth, fun ride!! Looks like you know what you're doing.

We took Andrew to the Salt Lake airport to catch his flight the day we got our winter storm. We saw cars off the road and wreck that involved a semi and a smaller car that became a compact car because of the wreck. The roads were quite slick, but we made it there and back safe. Georgia will never be the same with Andrew hovering around!! We wish you the best Andrew, hope to see you sometime soon!! We love you bunches! Lindsay and Titan will be living here with us for awhile until things are settled with Andrew in Georgia. I've been enjoying being a Grandma and seeing Titan grow. He's learned how to "run crawl" and is getting into things more and more.

I was able to see a VERY entertaining show while ushering at the Eccles. BLAST and than attend Celtic Night and Irish/Riverwalk dance program. Thoroughly enjoyed both.

We've been in contact with Andrew and he's enjoying his job. He's getting in more flying hours and is actually getting paid to fly instead of paying to fly. It's a good feeling. He's working with a crop dusting crew. He doesn't do the crop dusting, he's the ground support crew leader. However he is getting fly hours which is great. The helicopter they use is a Bell OH58 with a Turbin engine. He's been able to fly through a rainstorm and in the marsh lands of the Gulf of Mexico. So far his longest non-stop flight has been 160 miles non-stop!! Pretty cool and he's still alive to tell about it which makes it even better!

Nate and Kim were able to go on a Medical Mission with some of his fellow classmates to San Ysidro, California. It's a town that boarders Mexico. Kim went along as the photographer and they both had a good time. Nate said they served a variety of people and that it was a great learning experience. They're both staying plent busy and looking forward to when Nate can get a break from the books.

Dale had meetings and a conference for work in St. George and it was Spring Break for our Idahoans so the Mallorys tagged along with Dale and I. We left Garrett and Zandra at home to keep an eye on Tag and Danica :)
To pass the time while Dale was in meetings, we did some rock climbing at Pioneer Park and then went on a carousel ride and let the kids play in the water fountain area on Tabernacle square in St. George. That Jaxson figured out to spray us as well by the fountains--what a little stinker! We all had fun in the sun though :)

We headed to Overton, NV to visit the Brady's and to stay a couple of days. While there we got in alot of visiting, laughing and together time. Jessie and Mondo even stopped in to say "Hi" and play with us a bit.
The kids rode horses, explored caves, rode in the Mule and we even celebrated Jaxson's 6th birthday a day early with a snake cake and ice cream with them. Doug and Donna were super hosts and hostesses and were good sports to "Just Dance" with us. Thanks for a great time!!

We headed back to St. George for Dale to attend his conference and we celebrated Jaxson's birthday at the Fiesta Fun Center!! Bumper Boats, Mini Golf, Kiddie Cars, Go-Carts, arcade games and the batting cage. I hope it was a birthday he'll remember. We all had a fun time---thanks Jaxon for giving us a reason to celebrate!

We also went on a walk along the river and on our way home stopped at Cove Fort for a look at life in the past.

We got home and found that Garrett and Zandra found a new form of birth control. Leaving them home with little sis!! She's 18 now and you know what comes with that :)

With General Conference ending the month I'd say that's a good component to end with.
